Britannia Beach Volunteer Recruitment Open House

Sunday December 1st, 2024- 11 am to 2 pm

Britannia Beach Fire Hall- 360 Copper Drive, Britannia Beach, BC

Open to all residents of Furry Creek and Britannia Beach.

This will be an informal, drop-in opportunity for anyone interested in joining the Britannia Beach Volunteer Fire Department. We’ll have members there to answer any questions that you might have, and you can tour the hall, check out our equipment, and see if volunteering might be a fit for you.

Training starts on Monday January 6th from 7 pm to 9 pm, and will take place each Monday night for approximately 4 months, after which recruits will join our regular Tuesday night training practice nights.

The Furry Creek firehall is still pre-construction, but we will soon need trained and experienced volunteers based out of that area, which speeds up response time to incidents in that area.

We offer an incredible training program, which meets NFPA 1001 training standards, and there are always further certification and specialized training courses that you can add-on, if you wish. It’s a great way to challenge yourself, learn new skills and give back to your community.

Should you be unable to attend Sunday’s Open House, simply pop by the hall, or call/email the Chief, or submit your application form in person or by email.
